The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
