Mohamed Salah Extends Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has revealed that the Egyptian forward apologised to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the controversy from his televised remarks.
The Incident
The striker was dropped from a vital match after voicing frustrations and claiming his relationship with manager had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The manager has chosen not to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” he continued.
Jones also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “I understand there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
Liverpool's form have been impressive in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the outburst were never meant to cause disruption.
“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, getting results and on a positive run.”
