Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed based on standard procedures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.
This event does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to return to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
